SCARABOCCHI

Scarabocchi is a kit of free standing removable ink jewelry, made in 3D printed steel, that uses garments as the spreading support. It’s inspired by the pen scribbles that possess the sheet of paper while people talk on the phone: it’s an expressive modality that deals with a strange and obscure language. It’s an unconscious process, an istinctive and involuntary gesture: the scribbles tend to grow indipendently from one’s will and occupy all the available surface just like a virus. There is a common tendency of resorting to a certain stereotyped figures, such as flowers, arrows, geometrical shapes, backlashes, and they tell a lot of one’s personality. These scribbles don’t follow a formal organization on the sheet of paper, they are freely and irrationaly juxtaposed. The garments become the sheet of paper where the customer can build its own irrational story.
